INTRODUCING Single-Stream Recycling!

Dear Valued Coeur d’Alene Garbage Service Customer,

We are pleased to announce that we are starting a single stream recycling program in the Hayden, Hayden Lake, Dalton, Fernan, and Hayden View areas.

All of our customers in these areas are now able to recycle 21 different items co-mingled in one 96 gallon Blue cart. Service for single stream will be every other week. Garbage collection will remain every week.

This is the easiest and most efficient way to recycle. We look forward to partnering with you in this environmentally friendly effort. We will now be providing only single stream recycling and traditional garbage service combined. Your bill will increase $2 per month.

Items that can be recycled are:

·         Newspaper

·         Office Paper

·         Magazines / Catalogs

·         Junk Mail

·         Cereal Boxes

·         Paper Cartons

·         Telephone Books

·         Paper Bags

·         Cardboard Boxes (any size)

·         Aluminum Cans

·         Aluminum Foil & Food Trays

·         Steel / Tin cans

·         Plastic Milk jugs

·         Plastic Beverage Containers

·         Plastic Jars and Tubs

·         Plastic Trays, Cups and Containers

·         Plastic Plant Pots

·         Plastic Pill containers over 4 ounces

The Single-Stream Recycling Program is currently only the Post Falls, Hayden, Hayden Lake, Dalton, Fernan, and Hayden View areas and combined with traditional garbage service.

There are various schools participating in the School Drop Box Program. By taking them your recyclables, you help fund much needed improvements and projects.
